Next was Monday. We had another party for Weston with the Watkins' family. It was at "Amazing Jake's" at was so much fun. We had a great crowd and at all you can eat buffet, then watched our kids on the Merry go round and "Hopper." They had so much fun with their cousins and just playing to their hearts content.
I can't remember what we did on Tuesday, but we spent a lot of time playing wii Mario Kart and just enjoying having Jake around. OH yeah! and we went to a school party for Aubrey. It was way too hot, but their were bounce houses and slides and snowcones...so we survived.
On Wed. we decided to head out to the Arizona Science Museum. I have heard it was fun, so we spent the day in Phoenix. My kids loved it. Weston keeps talking about how the cow burped (their was a Grossology section) which talked about a lot of bodily functions. Anyway, I highly recommend the trip. We got a membership so call me if you want to go some time. That same day we ate at one of my all time favorites Souper Salad! Yeah! The kids were great and loved choosing their favorite foods. That same day we went and visited Norm (grandpa) and Mari (aunt) at their work. OH and I almost forgot. On Wed. we got our new 42" plasma TV! We are so excited. So
Thurs. we watched movies and fiddled around with our new TV all day. Friday....was Aubrey's "meet the teacher night." So we went and toured her new school and saw her classroom. She is a little nervous, but mostly excited she says. That night we ate at Panda Express. (you can tell I am pregnant. The highlight of my week was all the junk food I could eat...and no cleanup.....we never eat out anymore, but this was our vacation.) We also had a camping night in our own living room. We watched Enchanted and let the kids have a night of sleeping in a tent. It was so uncomfortable. I don't know what we were thinking.
So, next was Saturday. We spent the day at the mall and just buying stuff for Aubrey and school. Then we went and visited Jake's parents again, and went to Gecko Grill with some of our good friends the Hayes. We ended the gorging of food with Neilsons' Custard. And that concludes our Staycation! We had a lot of fun this week. We ate a lot, played a lot and even kept our home in relative order. Now we are anxious to dive into this world of having a child in school....and hope it Sorry for the long post. By the way I don't like slide shows...but I had a lot of pictures. If you scroll over the picture with your mouse...I have captions explaining the pics.
